Jackson Memorial Service Scheduled for Tuesday!

Jackson's Memorial serviceMichael Jackson’s Memorial Service is to take place on Tuesday at The Staples Centre in Los Angeles where star was rehearsing for his O2 London concerts. His family released the concert information to coincide with the AEG of the video of the King Of Pop rehearsing for his 50 UK shows. 11,000 free tickets have been made available for Tuesday’s service, which will start at 10am (5pm GMT).
 
Blackpool to host the 2009 Royal Variety Show!

Blackpool will host the Royal Variey ShowThis year’s variety show, which will see Britain’s Got Talent winners ‘Diversity’ perform in front of the Queen, will be held in seaside town, Blackpool. The event, which has been running since 1912 was last held in Blackpool in 1955 and this year will take place in the stunning Opera house which seats up to 2,900 people.

Lil Wayne Rap star Lil Wayne has delayed his impending European shows, which were expected to kick off in Paris on Thursday, due to illness. The US top selling artist was due to play ten dates, with two of them in London – revised dates will be announced shortly.
Slipknot Lead in Nominations for Kerrang! Awards

Slipknot Iowan band Slipknot have scooped 6 Kerrang! Nominations including; live band, best single, best album, best video and best international band. The awards will take place in London on 3rd August and will be hosted by Anthrax’s Scott Ian and Slipknot’s Corey Taylor.

Other bands battling for the coveted K! gongs include Metallica, Gallows, Bring Me The Horizon, You Me At Six, Green Day, Enter Shikari and The Prodigy.
 
Ting Tings Second Album to be recorded in Berlin!

Ting TingsManchester rock duo The Ting Tings have revealed that they will be recording their much-anticipated second album in a studio in Berlin which they converted from a Jazz Club. 

The Ting Tings first album “We Started Nothing” was a huge success, entering the charts at number one and launched their 2008 anthem, “That’s Not My Name”.

Michael Jackson Back in 1967 Michael Jackson and his brothers, collectively known as the “Jackson 5” won an amateur music competition at the Apollo Theatre, New York. Fast forward 42 years and that same theatre are holding a public tribute to the pop legend that sadly passed away on Thursday 25th June from a heart attack.
