Coming Home by The Soldiers

An extraordinary album, from three serving soldiers, Sergeant Richie Maddocks, Major Gary Chilton and Lance Corporal Ryan Idzi, were put together by music moguls to form the group, The Soldiers, and release their debut album Coming Home. Viewers of the X Factor may be familiar with Ryan Idzi, who made it to boot-camp on the 2008 series of the show.

The lads managed to record the album in between serving for their country at home and in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some of the revenue from the album will go towards worthwhile war charities, including the Help The Heroes and the British Legion.

I think the lads have done an amazing job with this album and their voices are fantastic. I admire these soldiers so much and take my hat off to them for doing this for such a great cause. They are not just soldiers singing songs they have great voices. With such songs as 'Stand by Me' and 'Tears in Heaven' are tremendously emotional and meaningful. It is extremely hard not to have a lump in your throat when listening to it. The songs that have been picked for the album are so fitting and are classic greats which are so enjoyable to hear again.
