Charity X-Factor single tops the chart

The X Factor live finalists, charity single, You Are Not Alone has gone straight to number one in the UK singles chart. The Michael Jackson cover song, released in aid of Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, has so far sold over 200,000 copies making it the second biggest selling single of the year, behind Cheryl Cole's, Fight For This Love, which is currently sitting in fifth place in the charts.

Elsewhere, The Black Eyed Peas, Meet Me Halfway drops one place into second position, with Jason Derulo's Whatcha Say in forth and Leona Lewis, Happy, taking the fifth spot after two weeks in the singles chart. Leona Lewis is also celebrating, after topping the album charts, with her new album Echo.
