U2 will perform at Glastonbury's 40th Birthday

It's been announced that U2 will be the headline act at next year's Glastonbury festival. The band will kick off at the opening night of the event on 25th June, performing on the Pyramid stage, it will mark the first time they have performed at the festival.

It is the 40th Anniversary of the Glastonbury festival next year and more huge acts are set to be signed up over the coming few months, with organiser Michael Eavis stating that there are more surprises to come.
