Simon Cowell to leave American Idol

Music mogul Simon Cowell has announced that this will be his last season as a judge on American Idol. His decision came after it was revealed that Cowell will launch an American version of the X Factor on Fox TV.

Simon has judged thousands of acts on American Idol over the last nine years, the show has produced an array of talented singers and has launched the careers of Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and many more.
