Cheryl Cole wont 'fight for this love' anymore

In a simple statement on the social blogging site Twitter, Cheryl Cole yesterday (Tuesday 23rd February) announced to the world that she's decided to separate from her husband of four years Ashley Cole.

Following her solo Brits performance last week, the pop star flew to LA, after a number of tabloid papers broke the news that the footballer had allegedly cheated on her. Then on returning home yesterday, the star revealed her decision to split and asked Ashley to leave their £6 million mansion. If the pair do decide to make the separation final, they could be divorced within a matter of months.

Since she won a place in the Pop Stars the Rivals group Girls Aloud in 2002, Cheryl has shot to stardom, replacing Sharon Osbourne as a judge on X Factor two years ago, becoming the face of cosmetics brand L'Oreal and more recently releasing her debut solo album '3 Words', with the first single Fight For This Love catapulting to the number one spot.
