Sugababes set to perform at the UK Asian Music Awards this Thursday
The UK Asian Music Awards 2010 (UKAMA), sponsored by Lebara Mobile, take place this Thursday 11th March at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
Hosted by Bobby Friction and Sophie Choudry the evening will honour the achievements of British Asians within the music industry, with awards presented for categories such as best album, best male and female act and best newcomer.
After his success in America, Jay Sean's talents are recognised further at the UKAMAs with four nominations for best male act, best urban act, best video and best album for All Or Nothing. Singer Jaz Dhami adds to the competition also picking up three nominations for best male act, best desi act and best album for JD.
The event will see a whole host of performances from some of the biggest names in Asian and mainstream music, including the Sugababes, Jaya, Malkit Singh, Imran Khan, Jaz Dhami, Mumzy, Surinder Rattan, Aman Hayer, Talvin Singh, RDB, Shin DCS, Roach Killa, Andrej Alj and Bollywood Pandits.
B4U will televise the event across the world on Thursday, with the BBC Asian Network broadcasting it on radio, the web and interactive TV.
