Diana Vickers to release 'Once' from debut album 'Songs For The Tainted Cherry Tree'

Diana Vickers, best known for reaching the final four in the 2008 X Factor competition, is set to release her debut single 'Once' on April 19th, closely followed by the release of her debut album Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree on 3rd May.

The video to the track 'Once' made its television premier this morning (Wednesday 10th March) on Channel 4's Freshly Squeezed music show.

The 18 year old singer took time out after the X Factor to star as Little Voice in the west end remake of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice. Since then Diana has been working on her debut album, enlisting the help of Ellie Goulding to assist in writing the song Me & You, as well as Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody who collaborated with her on one of the tracks.

Diana caused controversy with her performances on the X Factor, her unusual, quirky voice receiving both praise and criticism from the judges. Pleasingly her individual style is captured throughout Songs For The Tainted Cherry Tree
