Jay Sean cleans up at the UK Asian Music Awards

Last night (Thursday 11th March) saw the UK Asian Music Awards take place at London's Royal Festival Hall on the South bank.

Jay Sean was the big winner of the evening, picking up four awards for Best Male, Best Album for All or Nothing, Best Video and Best Urban Act, further adding to his amazing achievements over the past year.

Meanwhile, Amar Dhanjan walked away with the best female award, and Bat For Lashes (Natasha Khan) picked up a gong for best alternative act.

The audience were treated to glittering performances from some of the biggest names from the industry, including the Sugababes who sang a bhangra version of their single About a Girl, as well as Jaz Dhami, Talvin Singh and Mumzy.

Hosted by Bobby Friction and Sophie Choudry, the annual event celebrates the musical success of British Asian artists and performers over the past year.
