Madonna's music most played of the Millennium

A list of the most played songs in the UK within the last decade has ranked Madonna in first place, beating the likes of Elvis Presley, Abba and Queen.

The Material Girl is followed closely behind by The Beatles at number two and Robbie Williams, who grabs the third spot.

Since she first launched onto the music scene in 1983, Madonna has sold over 200 million records and the last decade has been no exception, she's clocked up four number one singles and five number one albums in the UK. Her most recent offering Sticky and Sweet: Live, which was released on 29th March 2010 entered the album charts at number 17.
