Robbie Williams Greatest Hits straight to number 1
Robbie Williams newly released album, In and Out of Consciousness: Greatest Hits 1990 -2010 has gone straight to number one in the UK album charts. The album celebrates the twentieth anniversary of Robbie Williams's career in the music business. The album features the newly released single, 'Shame', which he has recorded with Take that Band mate, Gary Barlow. Robbie and Take That have confirmed that they are working on a new album to be released on November 22nd 2010. The album is entitled Progress and is available to pre-order from many retailers at £8.93.
This week also sees newly released albums from Cliff Richard, Magnetic Man, Belle and Sebastian and Alter Bridge go straight into the top 10 of the UK album charts.Sir Cliff Richard celebrates his 70th birthday this month and along with the new album release, 'Bold as Brass' he will be performing a series of concerts at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Magnetic Man a collaboration project between dubstep DJ's Artwork, Skream and Benga. Each DJ uses a computer to synchronise sounds of drum beats, bass sounds and lead melody.
Indie pop band, Belle and Sebastian are in ninth position with their brilliant new album 'Write about Love' and US alternative Metal Band Alter Bridge are at number 10 with ABIII.
