Take That progress to 1 as Rihanna loud 2: UK album charts

This week's album charts sees two new entries battle for the top slots, knocking of Susan Boyle's sell out album, 'The Gift' into third. Take That take the top spot with their new album 'Progress', narrowly beating the beautiful Rihanna's new album 'Loud'.

Three other new entries have made the top 10 positions in the UK charts. Andre Rieu, the fun loving classical violinist from the Netherlands album Moonlight Serenade surpassed sales of Pinks Greatest Hits So Far, taking 4th and 5th places in the chart respectively.

Bruce Springsteen also has a newly released album entitled 'The Promise' and this has gone straight into 7th position in the UK album chart, knocking Kings of Leon -  Come Around Sundown and Some Kind of Trouble by James Blunt out of the top 10.
