Find CD has checked out the forthcoming CD releases to guide your purchases and have discovered that January heralds some brilliant new albums well worth adding to your CD collection. My personal favourite is by Joan as Police Woman who releases The Deep Field on January 24th 2011. Created by singer songwriter and violinist Joan Wasser with Indie rock band 'With Joan as Police Woman' has created a unique blend of caressingly sexy vocals and fascinating instrumental combinations of guitar and percussion with fascinating poetic lyrics. The Deep Field is definite editor's pick of the forthcoming releases and deserves 5 stars – have a listen to the sample tracks and hear for yourself this amazing sound.

However a quick venture into the archives reveals a rich, varied and interesting collection of music that stems from the musically rebellious period at the end of the late 1970's, a time when bands experimented and were willing to take risks.
