Mylo Xyloto by Coldplay due for release on 24th October 2011

Coldplay's 5th studio album is due for release on 24th October. It's a strange title for an album described by frontman Chris Martin as "based on a love story with a happy ending". Since the success of their debut album "Parachutes" in 2000 Coldplay have produced subsequent albums of great music and it seems this latest album will continue the trend.

Produced by Markus Dravs, Daniel Green and Rik Simpson, with "exonification and additional composition" by Brian Eno it has 14 great tracks, including "Charlie Brown" and the beautiful "Us Against The World", which has the same haunting quality as "Fix You". It's a perfectly compiled album with the introduction of electronic instrumentation and even with the inclusion of Rhianna in the duet "Princess of China". It undoubtedly carries the Coldplay hallmark.

It's a busy autumn for Coldplay with their sell out arena tour and the release of Mylo Xyloto and Chris Martin has indicated that this may well be their last album, but somehow there seems to be a lot more to come from Coldplay at least that's what the fans are hoping.

Mylo Xyloto is available now to pre order.
The other albums by Coldplay, which will make great additions to any CD collection are;
 Parachutes  A Rush of Blood to the Head  Viva La Vida X & Y
