"Now the Flood gates will open."
Impressive and political but no doubt good old Enter Shikari have changed a bit.
Favourite song Zzzonked.
Worth the buy though

This is possibly the best album I have ever heard. I love everything about it and I never skip a single song. I first heard this band when I was flipping through the music channels on sky and heard the song "Shot Down" and immediately fell in love with it. The album offers many songs of the same amazingness and I think everyone should have this album in their CD collection. I've listened to it so many times now, that it barely works anymore and I've never got sick of it. Buy it!

At first listen this album just sounded plain and boring, as though not a lot of effort had been put into it, but after giving it a chance I changed my mind. It really grew on me and re-ignited my love for taking back Sunday. In my opinion "sink into me" is the best track and I can't get enough of it. I think any Taking Back Sunday fan or any rock music fan should give this album a chance.

This album begins with a quiet start, with the eponymous 'invaders must die', and continues to build in truly fantastic fashion for the next 5 tracks, with 'take me to the hospital' providing a fantastic slab of rave breaks.
The rest of the album is a more sedate affair, but continues to deliver the quality we all have come to know and love from the prodigy.
Overall a fantastic buy and should offer something for everyone.
Standout tracks: 'omen', 'colours' and 'take me to the hospital' (which is one of their best tracks ever in my opinion!)
Overall rating 5/5

Kasabian does it again with a fresh but old school Manchester sound. If you like Oasis and the Stone Roses, this album will blow your mind. Kasabian will give your ear drums a beating with the rocking track Underdog and creepy tune Vlad the Impayler. An excellent album that you won't get bored of, just buy it now so you can listen over and over, but make sure you turn the volume up loud!

Although probably their most commercial and easily accessible record, it still remains one of the best and keeps its alternative sound. All incredible musicians, Sonic Youth still manage to break through some sort of barrier in Rock music with a combination of immense creativity and expression. The gel between the vocals of Moore and Gordon with the dirty yet elegant instrumentals make this a must have record.

After listening to Green Day for the last 12 years, going right back to nimrod and even 39/Smooth in the early 90's, I find the new album a fantastic relation to classic Green Day. Tracks like "Know Your Enemy" and "21 Guns" have a classic Green Day vibe but with "Before the Lobotomy" having a slightly edgier sound. The whole album screams top 10 and sell out tour. (Trust me I've tried to get tickets). Listening to the whole album is a pleasure for any fan and a must for your album collection.

This is a good sequel to last album, offering a seamless thread through the album. It gives us echoes of the previous album that continue the story, leading us from one song to another and all remaining in context. A well balanced album that will make your ears and your feet dance.

I must admit I hadn't been a Lily Allen fan until this album. I purchased it at the weekend after continuously singing 'Not Fair' and haven't stopped listening to it since. As usual, Lily's chirpy songs get you singing along in no time - I honesty love her music.
This is an album that you can listen to if you're a fan or not, it will convert you - like me!

Closer than veins is one of the greatest masterpieces I have ever heard, some of the songs are very deep and make you open your eyes and look at what other people are going through.
The song "Look Into My Eyes " is the best track in the album, it talks about the reality of people in Palestine, going through the war and the unfairness of women and children being killed for no reason.
I recommend listening to some demos and if you like it, buy it!

Probably one of their strongest albums. They have toyed with country and straight out rock in previous records and perhaps they are finally finding a sound that they can stick to.
Lyrically honest and challenging, encouraging and rocking, this is Third Day hitting new ground since their rocky sound in their "Wire" and "Conspiracy No5" albums.
My personal favourite has to be the title track as Mac Powel sings of his desperation to clear out the junk and get real with God. If he was a car he'd be screaming to be stripped to the chassis for a total rebuild.
If you want intelligent music from Christians critical of their own faith, life and searching for the raw truth of God with a hunger for more, listen to this now.
Raw faith and raw guitars - what more do you want?

This is the first Third day cd I have bought. I have really enjoyed it is quite rocky. The words are very thought provoking and meaningful and Bible based. I like "This is who i am" helping us define our identity in Christ.

Two suns is the enchantidly entitled second album from bat for lashes. With a similarity to Bjork and Kate Bush, Natasha Khan is the face painted talent behind the band.
With mystical song titles such as 'two planets', 'moon and moon' and 'peace dreams' she creates a spiritual awareness through her music.
Love seems to be the force behind this second album and the addition of a New York gospel choir makes her romantic sound second to none.
Daniel, track 4 on the album is by far my favourite, written about a childhood crush on the karate kid. With this song Natasha yet again breaks the boundaries of song writing, creating a song of fun, rhythm and beauty from a subject quite unknown to most people!
I encourage everybody to listen to this album...

As much as I love the USE YOUR ILLUSION volumes released some 4 years after this rocker, APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION ranks as one of my all time ultimate favourite albums and rests up there with SONIC TEMPLE & GET A GRIP.
You have to love the opening track 'Welcome To The Jungle' or LA/Hollywood as it is commonly known as screams into action and you are brought into the sleazy rock 'n' roll lifestyle that the band lived up to the maximum in the late 1980s similar to that of Motley Crue.
All the classics are here and then some from the big time rockers 'Sweet Child O' Mine', 'Rocket Queen' & 'Paradise City' to the others including 'Nightrain', 'Mr. Brownstone' and 'My Michelle'.
Forever more you will be listening to this album with the volume turned up high and head banging like you just don't care...how could you ask for more?

So after 1989's successful SONIC TEMPLE, the now rejuvenated Cult returned with CEREMONY based around elements of American Indian culture touched upon on the last album but now brought to the forefront in this album full of acoustic melodies and essence of hard rock although a lot tamer than that of the latter but still just as listenable then as it is now.
Kicking off with the title track, Ian Astbury (singer) keeps wailing like he does best and brings us such classics as 'Wild Hearted Son', 'Earth Mofo' & 'Heart Of Soul'. But like any good album, it is the songs that are never mentioned that are classics in their own rights like 'White', 'If', the title track and 'Sweet Salvation'.
All in all well worth the listen so go buy it now.
Up next THE CULT!

This album is my choice of 2008 and will no doubt keep me dancing throughout 2009 too!
Romantic lyrics promising that one day we're gonna live in paris, alongside a kinetic energy from the 4 boys from St Alban's gives way to a frisky upbeat sound!
This album is asking to be listened to loud on a sunny day in the car with the windows down and your sunglasses on!
Do as they say.. jump in the pool and get on board!

So after a slight struggle in albums throughout the 1980s, except for a few exceptions, AC/DC returned with one of their often overlooked albums THE RAZOR'S EDGE!
And you know, I don't understand why it is still overlooked because it has all the trademarks for one of the best of their albums ever!
Listen to the brilliant opening track 'Thunderstruck' and you will be hooked until the striking chords of 'If You Dare'. All in all it is an album that deserves a second look and should be played louder and louder the more you hear it. 'Thunderstruck' may be the big track on the album, but the title track is equally as good even better especially the brilliant build up to the Angus' solo! Bring it on!

This is my guilty pleasure! Along with all the teeny-boppers I am a huge fan, even at the age of 25. What better album to put on before you go out partying - it's sure to put a smile on your face!
The sassy songbirds have done it again. This album is jam-packed with sing-along songs that will have you cranking up the CD player and dancing around like a little girl. Just make sure the curtains are closed! Favourite tracks include 'The Promise', 'untouchable' and 'fix me up'.
